Benoit Garbe is Senior Partner at Millward Brown Vermeer . He is at the helm of Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific region and leads key global brand strategy assignments and ongoing business development initiatives for Vermeer. Having previously worked on the client side, he lends a depth of perspective and insight into the client experience. Benoit advises clients on how to grow their businesses and transform their organizations through brands, with an expertise in portfolio management, brand architecture, brand growth strategy, licensing, and brand valuation in the context of M&A. At Vermeer since 2007, Benoit has supported companies such as Gucci, Microsoft, Pepsi, P&G, Ritz Paris, Mayo Clinic, Vodafone, HP, Marriott and Red Bull. In China, Haier, BOE, Huawei, Tianping Prior to his current role, Benoit was the Global Strategic Planner for American Express at Ogilvy & Mather. He held various positions in brand management and strategy at Nike, Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, and Diageo. Benoit has been a guest lecturer at Columbia University, Cornell University, and UCLA Anderson School of Management, and a speaker at numerous conferences (WARC, ANA) on the topic of brand value creation. He has been working closely with Jim Stengel, former Global Marketing Officer at P&G, on his book titled Grow–How Ideals Power Growth and Profit at the World’s Greatest Companies. Benoit holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Lille, France. With French as his native language, he is fluent in English, and conversant in Spanish. Benoit lives in Shanghai, with his wife and two young sons.
