Arlene Ang

Arlene currently leads the OMD China operations. Before this appointment, she was the digital CEO responsible for the digital specialists units of OMG China. She successfully built Accuen into China’s leading programmatic agency. She also ran Resolution (Search), Social@OMG, Annalect (OMG technology and analytics unit) and Airwave (mobile marketing).
Arlene joined OMD in 2010 to head up the Intel business. She was later appointed to be the Managing Director of OMD Beijing. Arlene has over 20 years of advertising experience ranging from traditional advertising to digital, CRM, social and mobile. In 1999, she tried her hand at entrepreneurship and started AdXplorer, a digital marketing agency and built it into a network of 8 offices across Asia Pacific. She sold her company in 2004 and moved on to help Publicis build its digital offering with Publicis Modem. Within 2 years, she had grown Modem into 5 offices in Asia Pacific including an acquisition of one of Korea’s top independent digital agency.
Arlene won Campaign Asia’s Account Person of the Year, Greater China, in the 2011 Agency of the Year awards. In 2012, OMG Digital won a Bronze for Greater China Specialist Agency of the year. In 2013, Accuen China won Silver for the same award show as well as the accolade of Best Programmatic Agency from iResearch. Arlene believes that to win in today’s challenging business environment, digital should be at the core of every marketing plan.
